Hitachi Scholarship Foundation announced their scholarship\/fellowship program for the year 2015 to eligible candidate from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). \u00a03 scholarships offered as below;<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Hitachi Scholarship Program<\/b><\/div>\n
This program is offered to the university staffs who wish to study at Japanese Graduate Schools for Doctoral Course in the area of science and technology and intend to contribute to their university for promotion of higher education after completion of study in Japan.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Eligibility:<\/div>\n
-Master degree holder who wishes to obtain PhD degree in the field of science and technology, except veterinary science, at a Japanese graduate school.<\/div>\n
-Below 36 years old as of 1 October, 2015<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Documents required for application<\/div>\n
One (1) original and one (1) copy of following:<\/div>\n
1) Type-written Application Form along with 3cm x 4cm size photograph taken within the past 6 months<\/div>\n
2) Certificate of graduation from the last school attended<\/div>\n
3) Transcript of academic record of the master\u2019s course and the undergraduate school<\/div>\n
4) Letter of recommendation from the head and\/or dean of the faculty to which the applicants belongs. This letter needs to be endorsed by the office of the President. Other additional recommendation letters, if any.<\/div>\n
5) Letter of acceptance from the proposed Japanese host scientist<\/div>\n
6) Physical examination certificate<\/div>\n

2. Hitachi Research Fellowship Program<\/b><\/div>\n
This program intends to encourage the university staffs having keen interest in \u00a0conducting post-doctoral research in the area of science and technology to enhance their professional backgrounds and promote academic collaboration through building mutual human network with Japanese universities and\/or institutions.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Eligibility and qualification of applicants:<\/div>\n
Only the faculty members, who belong to the Eligible Universities invited by the Foundation and wish to conduct their post-doctoral and cooperative research in the field of science and technology, except veterinary science, at Japanese universities or research institutes, will be accepted as applicants.<\/div>\n
They have to satisfy the following requirement:<\/div>\n
1) PhD holder<\/div>\n
2) Below 46 years old as of October 1, 2015 (born on or after October 2, 1969)<\/div>\n
3) Firm position or profession in the university<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The documents are required are one (1) original ad one (1) copy of<\/div>\n
1) Type written Application Form along with 3cm x 4cm size photograph taken within the past 6 months<\/div>\n
2) PhD certificate<\/div>\n

3. Komai Fellowship Program\u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n
This program started in 1989 under the auspices of late Mr. K. Komai, the first Chairman of the Hitachi Scholarship Foundation, to encourage interaction between Southeast Asian countries and Japan. The program, therefore, intends to encourage the university staffs having keen interest in conducting study and research to enhance their academic and professional backgrounds in the area of social and cultural science related to Japan.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Eligibility and qualification of applicants:<\/div>\n
1) The faculty members who belong to the Eligible Universities invited by the Foundation<\/div>\n
2) Research proposal have to be related wholly or in substantial part to Japan<\/div>\n
3) Firm position or profession in the university<\/div>\n
4) Below 46 years old as of October 1, 2015 (born on or after October 2, 1969)<\/div>\n
